IN Winter
In winter, you can roll right out of bed and hit the slopes, since our hotel stands right next to the piste on the Planai. Numerous other ski slopes can be easily reached using the chairlifts, guaranteeing practically boundless skiing enjoyment. Enjoy a winter holiday without needing a car or even a ski shuttle! You can ski straight from our hotel all the way down to the valley, dropping an astonishing 1,000 vertical meters in total. Even the ski school starts its courses directly in front of our hotel.
You can reach the Planaihof via the Planaistraße - our guests don't have to pay the toll charge for use of this road (you will receive an access code before you arrive.) There is plenty of parking right next to the hotel. Or ride up here on the gondola (the top station is 200 m from our hotel), kick back, and take in the glorious scenery.
IN SUmmer
Our family-operated 4-star Hotel Planaihof guarantees you a restful, reenergizing stay at 1820 meters above sea level, just below the summit of the Planai in Schladming-Dachstein. From the upper terrace and our winter garden, you will be able to enjoy fantastic panoramas spanning the Dachstein, Ennstal, and the Niedere Tauern range.
In summer, we are the ideal starting point for hikes in and around Schladming whilst offering allergy sufferers a welcome escape from their symptoms at a high elevation. "Hopsiland Planai" is a magnet for families in summer, featuring numerous outdoor play attractions and a pram-friendly walking loop that passes right by the Planaihof. From 5 p.m. on, Hopsiland is the exclusive domain of our hotel guests!
